About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Linux System Administrator t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Linux System Administrator will assist with Red Hat Linux systems. The candidate will support linux and windows server and desktop environments in the unclassified, collateral secret and higher program spaces.

Aquila is seeking a Linux System Administrator t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Linux System Administrator will assist with Red Hat Linux systems. The candidate will support linux and windows server and desktop environments in the unclassified, collateral secret and higher program spaces.
There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen - Authorized to Work in the US - Must be able to obtain a Active Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.
Required Skills:
- Very strong Linux background and broad knowledge across multiple IT disciplines is critical.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Application hardening/STIG
- Collect, analyze, and store system audit records
- DoD STIG's
- Experience working in cybersecurity
- Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp
- MS Active Directory, LDAP
- Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 & 8
- Redhat Linux Systems Administration
- Strong Backup Experience and Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data
- Systems Administration
- Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware, including ESXi and VCenter configuration)
- Windows Patch Management

- Certification - CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Degree Level - Bachelor's Degree
- Currently holds a Top Secret Clearance
- 15 years - Government Policy/Regulations/Application hardening/STIG
- 15 years - Security/Collect, analyze, and store system audit records
- 15 years - DoD STIG's
- 15 years - Experience working in cybersecurity
- 15 years - Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp
- 15 years - MS Active Directory, LDAP
- 10 years - Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 & 8
- 15 years - Redhat Linux Systems Administration
- 15 years - Strong Backup Experience and Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data
- 15 years - Systems Administration
- 15 years - Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- 15 years - UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS
