USmax Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level applications in support of the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF/AAIE). This role requires mastery of ColdFusion, Oracle databases, and modern web technologies to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with mission-critical objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, debug, and implement software applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, REST API calls, and ColdFusion.
- Design and manage Oracle Database schemas, write SQL and PL/SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
- Provide full SDLC support, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Develop new applications and enhance existing applications to align with SAF/AAIE business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a responsive and timely manner.
- Work in Agile development environments, adhering to industry best practices and DoD standards.
- Maintain compliance with Air Force cybersecurity, accessibility (Section 508), and governance requirements.
- Document technical processes, create user manuals, and provide training to stakeholders as needed.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
- 7+ years of experience in ColdFusion development and Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and SDLC methodologies.
Preferred Experience:
- Certifications: Oracle Masters certification OR two related Oracle certifications.
- Experience working within DoD environments, ensuring compliance with security and accessibility regulations.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks, DevSecOps practices, and cloud technologies such as AWS.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
