The Army C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic AM-3 (FAA A&P) Union CBA - Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/ King Air 200/ 350/ 1900 aircraft.

- A valid (FAA A&P) Certificate is Required.
- AM-3 - Requires a minimum of Ten (10) years A&P mechanic experience, with Thirteen (13) years of preferred hands-on C-12/King Air Turbo-prop aircraft mechanic A&P experience, as outlined under the Union CBA contract.
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance required for this position; also required for facility access at the work location.
- Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
- These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
- Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
- Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
- Experience with daily flight operations, supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is required.
- Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- Ten (10) years minimum experience as an (FAA) A&P mechanic is required, with Thirteen (13) years preferred hands-on Army C-12/ King Air (200, 350, 1900) Turbo-prop aircraft mechanic experience, under the Union CBA contract.
- Extensive background in the field of Army Transport Aircraft maintenance, with Recent full-time hands-on experience on the assigned aircraft (MDS) within the past 12 months is strongly preferred.
- Six (6) months flight line, overhaul & inspection experience on the assigned (MDS) C-12/King Air is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Tools are Required- Mechanics Must provide their own Tools and Toolbox. Tools must be shadowed in the toolbox and tools must be etched with PID.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

- Proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret technical duties is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with program management and the US Govt/Military is required.
- Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
- Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time, and be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to carry, push or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.
- May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
