The UC-35/Cessna Citation Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P).
Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on UC-35 Citation aircraft.
*(This Union CBA Contract offers Three (3) varying levels of aircraft mechanic employment and hourly pay. The "AM Level" will be determined solely based on verifiable years of hands-on UC-35 Citation specific A&P mechanic experience).

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on UC-35 Citation aircraft.

- A current and valid FAA A&P certificate, and a Secret Clearance are Required.
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for access to this base/facility.
- Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
- These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
- Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
- Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. To know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- May perform engine run or taxi operations; Must be able to meet the requirements to obtain Taxi certification within 12 months of employment).
- May be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Prioritizes workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
- Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
- Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is Required.
- Valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- Aircraft Mechanic I - AM1- Requires Two (2) Years A&P Mechanic experience with a Minimum of Two (2) or more years of UC35/Citationspecific hands-on experience.
- Aircraft Mechanic II- AM2- Requires -Two (2) years ofA&P Mechanic experience with a Minimum of Five (5) or more years of UC35/Citation specifichands-on experience.
- Aircraft Mechanic III- AM3 Requires - Ten (10) years of A&P Mechanic experience with a minimum of Thirteen (13) years of specific UC-35 Citation hands-on mechanic experience.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation. Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA. Assigned shift will be determined by Union Seniority.
- Mechanic Tools are provided on-site.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility.
Additional and Physical Qualifications
- Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
- Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
- Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
- Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
- Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
