About the Opportunity:
The Technical Lab Coordinator will play a critical role in managing lab logistical and organizational needs, ensuring the lab is consistently supplied with consumables, organizing assets and tools, and addressing program security requirements. The individual will coordinate with support staff (IT, facilities, security, logistics) to address program needs efficiently and contribute to the success of engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
This role involves hands-on technical tasks, including soldering, electrical assembly, fabrication, additive manufacturing/3D printing, laser cutting/engraving, and CNC milling/machining.
The position is a semi-independent duty, demanding self-motivation, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the capacity to learn and solve problems with minimal oversight.
In addition to lab-based responsibilities, the individual will support events across the continental United States, applying the same technical expertise to ensure successful execution of field operations, demonstrations, and technology evaluation events.
The position entails working closely with special operations forces members to evaluate and test emerging technologies. A basic understanding of military structures, protocols, and operations is essential for effective collaboration in this environment.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate should possess foundational knowledge of networking, application of AI, communications tools, automation, open-source tools, and software commonly used in a lab and office settings, electronic theory, enabling efficient operation and troubleshooting of lab equipment and systems.

- Execute 2D and 3D product design.
- Set up and operate 3D printers and various CNC devices according to design specifications.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of network protocols.
- Maintain intermediate to advanced proficiency with common production and administrative software.
- Support off-site training events within CONUS as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging production technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Assist the Project Manager with maintaining documentation for reporting to the team and leadership.
- Fulfill Project Manager responsibilities in their absence.
