Must Haves:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience of networking background including knowledge of data flow principles and troubleshooting of complex customer issues.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in routing protocols, VPNs, VLANs, SPANs, trunk and access ports, TCP/IP, and the OSI model.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience working with engineering processes including SP 800-160 Vol1
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated and a self-starter, maintain a curiosity and desire to learn, and be able to work well in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security or related field, and minimum 2 years related experience; or a Masters' degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security or related field.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in application and compliance of customer tailored NIST and FISMA controls and policies.
• Experience collecting system logs and event data and performing engineering analysis to determine system security function, performance and compliance.
• Experience developing, configuring and maintaining Linux and Windows Operating Systems (OS).
• Prior federal telecommunications and network security experience is a plus.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• CCNA or CISSP certification.

Job Description:
Seeking a talented experienced Information Security Systems Engineering professionals to join the Network Security Engineering Team comprised of Information Security Systems Engineers (ISSEs) supporting managed network infrastructures for federal government customers.

• This is an on-site position at offices located in Melbourne, Florida.
• This position requires weekend, after hours support, and on-call rotations to meet program requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Act as primary engineering support to network security operations for the testing and evaluation of new Security products and services.
• Supervise the technical work of junior security engineers to perform systems engineering design, testing and implementation of network security infrastructure and services.
• Perform lifecycle testing and operational support on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based security architectures to maintain compliance with customer-tailored National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls.
• Perform enterprise security gateway access control, baseline configuration management and system performance testing to ensure requirements compliance.
• Develop, maintain and publish network security technical documentation in accordance with L3Harris Systems Engineering processes.
• Manage and maintain enterprise configuration and provide internal and external (customer) tier 2/3 technical support for the following major systems:
• Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
• Global and Local Load Balancer
• Next generation firewall
• API Gateway
