- Senior Splunk Engineer needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Herndon, Virginia.
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is Required!
Responsibilities - Have an initial understanding of the most effective and efficient process to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Begin to develop the ability to make sense of complex information to effectively solve problems, reaching out to mentors for guidance when necessary.
- Spend 10% of the time focusing on training and fine-tuning skills.
- Spend 90% of the time on engagements.
- Execute all tasks outlined in the scope of work and follow standard operating procedures with minimal oversight.
- Work with clients to analyze and understand their needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on more complex engagements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after project implementation.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams or engineers as necessary.
- Document project progress, issues, and resolutions in a concise and timely manner.
- Consistently self-review work to identify and improve approaches for producing high-quality work.
- Sales and Client Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to availability standards for responding to client inquiries.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to clients.
- Identify and communicate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with the account team across services.
- Talent Development
- Demonstrate proactive engagement in obtaining and maintaining certifications and cultivating technical proficiency in accordance with industry standards.
- Provide input to leadership on needed training and development.
- Proactively engage with mentors for assistance and guidance, as necessary.
- Shadow colleagues and actively participate in practical exercises within the company's lab while not assigned to an engagement.
- Qualifications
- Currently holds a Top-Secret/SCI with a full-scope poly required.
- Experience operating in classified environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area or at least 4 years of related work experience.
- Splunk industry certifications.
- Strong background with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Understanding of identity, SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
- Understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.
- Understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
