Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
Peraton has an opportunity for a Software Engineer, Senior Advisor to work within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure on the team. SE must have experience in Java Development and will proactively complete tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements.

Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g.,Kubernetes).

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Java, database technologies (MySQL Postgres etc) and havesome experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies (such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig,etc).
- Possess additional knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
