The Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture (ISMA) Department supports customer focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. Our teams develop, analyze, and create flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas such as sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. They develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements. The department has a tradition of excellence through innovation and teamwork while championing individual diversity in a flexible work environment to meet the needs of today's workforce.

What You Will Do
  • You will support the design, development, and utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
  • You will contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems to answer questions such as: what should be the next system improvement; or what is the effectivity of the missile against a single or multiple threats; or what counter measures should be considered to increase effectivity and/or survivability and other operational performance related questions.
  • You will contribute to system modeling and data analysis activities for the purpose of supporting new business, missile system design and performance,
  • You will contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on diverse projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
  • You will provide support to simulation, modeling and analysis activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • You will participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement level simulations to ensure they meet defined requirements and performance.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Master's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience in applied and/or academic of modeling and simulation physical systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Specific majors: Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Applied Math, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA is required
  • Knowledge of the system engineering life-cycle model
  • Experience in the areas of data analysis and statistics especially dealing with large volumes of data
  • Internship or coursework experience in the following areas: Software development processes and object-oriented design using C/C++ or Java in either Unix or Linux computing environments

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
