We are seeking a skilled Red Hat Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers.
Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations.
Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage firewalls, perform system hardening, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Patch Management: Apply OS updates, patches, and security fixes using Red Hat Satellite or other configuration management tools.
User & Permission Management: Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to streamline system administration tasks.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures.
Networking & Troubleshooting: Configure network interfaces, DNS, NFS, and other essential networking services.
Virtualization & Cloud: Manage Linux servers in virtualized environments (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
Log Management: Analyze system logs and implement monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus for proactive system management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Certifications (Preferred):
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
CompTIA Linux+ or other relevant certifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Strong knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Python)
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH)
Familiarity with security tools and practices (SELinux, firewalls, auditing)
Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud services (AWS, Azure)
Education
Bachelor or higher degree
