Description
The Quality Control Manager oversees and coordinates the planning, implementation, and supervision of the project team quality control program. This includes working with Project Managers, employees, vendors, consultants and outside agencies to provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC). The Quality Control Manager shall report to the Contractor’s home office management team and not to the Project Manager. This position is based on site at the US Embassy in El Salvador.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Security Clearance: Mandatory current and active Secret Level Federal U.S. government clearance.
2. Experience: College degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or technical field. Additional, 8 years experience implementing construction quality control programs for similar projects
or High School education with 15 years of construction experience and successful completion of a company or union sponsored training program in the discipline to be inspected. Additional, 10 years as a tradesman including 5 years in the performance of QC inspection activities.
3. Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft computer applications with advanced skills in scheduling software.
Ability to prioritize, organize and work well under stress and maintain deadlines. Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of acceptable construction site practices including occupational safety and health regulations.
Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations. Must be detailed oriented with the ability to produce high quality workmanship.
4. Other Requirements: Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform duties in varying climates. Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.
Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position. Additional benefits and compensation package is included.
