SNC is actively developing collaborative capabilities to support crewed and uncrewed autonomous platforms to fuse a wide range of data together to support missions on the ground, sea, and air. This includes AI/ML paired with traditional sensor fusion techniques and full stack autonomy. We are looking for talented and motivated engineers to bring these capabilities into fruition. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Thorough understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and computer science fundamentals
- Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithm implementation within the C/C++ and Python programming languages
- Proficient experience using software version control systems (subversion, git, etc.)
- Proficient experience using software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build
- Experience designing and implementing software using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or other cross-compilation platforms
- Experience leading and delivering large-scale projects, ability to architect complex systems.
- Experience developing individuals by providing coaching, mentoring, and career guidance.
- Strong organization skills and work ethic
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience designing and implementing software for Real-Time Operating Systems and/or embedded systems
- Familiarity and/or experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS), Ardupilot, and/or Unreal Game Engine or Unity.
- Familiarity and/or experience with sensor fusion using lidar, radar, inertial, and vision.
- Familiarity and/or experience with AI/ML, robotics, and/or autonomy
- Interest in avionics systems, embedded software, drones, robotics, computer vision, control systems, statistics, mathematics and/or computer networking
- Familiarity and/or experience small UxV and/or RC Boat, drone, or cars.
