Electronics Technician/ VTC Engineer (Installer Level Tech 3)
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-end video teleconferencing, audio, and telecommunications systems. This role involves conducting site surveys, developing job plans, supervising technicians, and providing customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site surveys, assess layouts, and prepare reports.
• Develop job plans, determine materials, and schedule project timelines.
• Install and maintain AV infrastructure, including projection systems, speakers, displays, and cable support systems.
• Perform cable pulling, termination, and equipment testing for various communication systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and fire protection requirements.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and remote support.
• Document test results, update as-builts, and maintain inventory records.
Supervisory & Administrative Duties:
• Lead project installations, train, and mentor other technicians.
• Produce project reports and coordinate with on-site contacts.
Qualifications & Skills:
• AS in EE or related field/certifications or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of AV/IP/Unified Communications experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Preferred certifications: Avixa CTS; CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Cisco, or Polycom
Additional Requirements:
• 75% travel required; must possess a U.S. Passport or Real ID.
• Active SECRET Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
