We are currently searching for a Section Leader to join our team. The Section Leader will be have a technical role on a program in addition to performing the day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers. Section Leaders will spend 10-15 % of their time on management responsibilities with the remainder of their time spent on supporting technical commitments for the program they support. This position is located in Woburn, MA.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team
  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition
  • Workforce planning: developing and managing job requisitions, conducting interviews, making hiring decisions and onboarding employees
  • Supporting proposal development and monitoring program execution
  • Support department and directorate level initiatives
  • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors
  • Technical contributions to programs within the charter of the department


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM degree. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Battle Management Command, Control. Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems, or signal processing techniques
  • Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods and tools
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
  • Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS
  • Strong analytic, technical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Active DoD Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship status is required)


Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture.
  • Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
  • Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
  • Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development, and implementation
  • Experience in using Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Signal Processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
  • Previous military service
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
  • Strong analytic, technical and problem solving skills
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
