Laser Isotope Separation Technologies (LIS Technologies Inc., or LIST), a US-Based developer of patented advanced laser technology has an immediate opening for an experienced UF6 Chemical Process Engineer to join their team of world-class nuclear experts!

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear and chemical engineering, with expertise in the handling of UF6 gas mixtures, process design & optimization, and safety documentation. This role involves managing complex projects, providing technical oversight, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Citizenship: US Citizenship with ability to obtain a DOE Q-clearance
Locations: Oak Ridge, TN (Relocation assistance available)
Terms: Fulltime/Onsite
Compensation: $150k - $180k, depending on level of experience
Stock Options: Available for the right candidate.

Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in chemical, process, and nuclear engineering.
Extensive hands-on experience with UF6 compatible equipment, nuclear power plant design, and operational readiness reviews.
Experience with DOE and NRC regulatory frameworks.

Preferred Skills:
Strong expertise in uranium chemistry and enrichment processes (i.e. centrifuge and laser).
Proficient in process equipment design, safety analysis, and NQA-1 compliance.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects in both technical and leadership capacities.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute chemical and nuclear engineering projects, including process design, safety basis documentation, and operational readiness reviews.
Responsible for systems engineering, integration, and testing (SEIT) of UF6 gas handling systems for small-scale test demonstrations and full-scale production facilities
Demonstrated ability to work with external contractors to meet project timelines
Solid knowledge of vacuum pumps, control valves, piping, cold traps, metrology, mass spectrometers, etc. while ensuring regulatory compliance
Prepare and review licensing and safety documentation for compliance with DOE, NRC, and other regulatory agencies.
Perform and oversee NQA-1 calculations, P&IDs, and PFDs for nuclear facilities.
Develop and implement solutions for the startup and operation of hazardous waste treatment and uranium processing systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational and critical safety standards are maintained.
Conduct vendor evaluations and oversee procurement engineering for nuclear-grade components.
