We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator with Top Secret Clerance to join our team in Quantico, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator will perform engineering, design, integration, deployment, testing, certification, patching, and addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base operating system, but for all support libraries, components, and application dependencies.
Job Duties:
Perform daily system checks and reviews system logs to ensure optimal performance of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Maintain the virtual environments.
Maintain the Windows and Linux production environment for unclassified networks, perform troubleshooting analysis of physical servers, workstations, and associated systems as well as software.
Test and deploy new operating system and security patches.
Troubleshoot escalated tickets, monitor, and troubleshoot external application connections, and assist with the installation of new and/or rebuild servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
Coordinate issue resolution for server problems on agency networks.
Monitor, diagnose, configure and performance tune systems to optimize effectiveness of memory, disk, and OS kernel.
Coordinate and execute software deployments and patches for all customer Windows-based and non-Windows based applications.
Document systems and processes including new design and configuration and documenting existing processes and systems. Document problems and resolution for future reference.
Provide technical support and guidance to users, as needed, in a friendly and professional manner.
Perform all operational user support at Tier 1 and 2 levels.
Work directly with Cybersecurity, Operations, and Engineering groups for escalated issues.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing systems administration and tier 1 support at a cleared facility.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree/bachelors degree
