Data Pipeline Engineer
Location: Washington, D.C. or New York City
Position Type: Full-Time
Clearance: Secret or higher
Salary: $150k–$250k
I am partnered with a leading defense tech company that is hiring multiple Data Engineers to be based onsite in either D.C. or New York City. Due to the nature of the work, which involves projects for the Department of Defense (DOD), a minimum active Secret clearance is required for this position.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Active Secret clearance or higher (required).
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Java.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in pipeline engineering or data engineering roles.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues.
Proven success working in agile teams to deliver results.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A basic understanding of parallel data processing and Spark job tuning.
Additional Details:
This position involves some on-call responsibilities to support critical pipeline issues as needed.
