Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer III with a DOD Top Secret Clearance

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- In this role the candidate will serve as a Network Development Engineer supporting build out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary. The candidate will work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.
- Candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the Program.
- Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
- Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network to operational sites.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
- The position requires a government security clearance (DoD Secret - minimum, Top Secret - desired); you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
- The position is based at a LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.
- Familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware
- Must understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
- Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment.
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
- Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
- Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
- Must have firewall experience - especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
- Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
- Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
- Education: The position requires a Bachelor\\'\\'s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master\\'\\'s degree.
