Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer III with an active DOD Secret Clearance

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- In this role the candidate will serve as a Network Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME). As a Network Engineering SME, the candidate will be at the fore front of network design, helping solve difficult technical problems, leading team members in technical execution, and helping train engineers with less experience. The candidate will work within an agile team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.
- Apply extensive expertise; solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and presenting KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise.
- Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
- Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network to operational sites.
- Will be responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed.
- May function in project leadership roles and represents the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts.
- Perform Work without appreciable direction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree with 9 or more years of experience or a Master of Science Degree with 7 years of experience (or equivalent). Degrees must be in a relevant field of study
- Must have experience leading projects and training individuals on technologies.
- Must have experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure.
- Must have proven troubleshooting expertise.
- Must have extensive experience with networking protocols.
- Must know how to design, implement, and manage Network Management and Monitoring Systems.
- Must have Network Design & Development experience.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects.
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
- Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
- Must have a Secret Clearance
- Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
