Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Hybrid)

Clearance required: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

We are seeking a passionate Senior Systems Engineer to support our Space customer. The Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) will help lead the development and integration of system models to support complex, mission-critical projects. This role leverages tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, and Collaborator to design, analyze, and validate system architecture and interfaces. The Senior Systems Engineer ensures the system model serves as the authoritative source of truth, enhancing collaboration, reducing risks, and improving overall system performance users.

What you will do:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage system models using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, and Collaborator.
  • Define and document system architectures, interfaces, and requirements in a model-based environment.
  • Lead trade studies and analysis to evaluate system design options and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the system model reflects current program requirements and constraints.
  • Implement and enforce MBSE methodologies and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Integrate MBSE with digital engineering efforts, including simulation, verification, and validation processes.
  • Create and maintain SysML diagrams to represent system behaviors, structures, and interactions.
  • Support the development of system design reviews, including SRR, PDR, and CDR, leveraging model artifacts.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers on MBSE tools and techniques.
  • Ensure model compliance with program standards and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder reviews and feedback sessions using tools such as Collaborator to validate model content


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work.
  • Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years relevant experience
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 6 years of experience in systems engineering with at least 3 years specializing in MBSE.
    • Proficient in MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, and Collaborator.
    • Experience with SysML, UML, and other modeling languages and frameworks.
    • Strong understanding of system lifecycle processes, including requirements, design, integration, and testing.
    • Experience with DOORs or other requirements database models
  • Skills:

    • Ability to lead complex system modeling efforts and ensure alignment with program objectives.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate system designs and performance.
    • Excellent communication skills for presenting models and system designs to stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent professional / interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to operate in a team environment consisting of both internal and external members, co-workers and customers
  • The ability to document and electronically store daily task information, architecture, processes, and user instruction

Proposed Pay Scale: $150,200-$175,800
