Responsibilities:
Strategy:
Develop a broad understanding of growth strategy beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
Apply knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and industry best practices.
Understand government and agency acquisition methods, building strategic teaming alliances.
Align growth strategy with company quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Bid and Proposals:
Collaborate with growth and business unit leadership to execute the business development strategy, focusing on Army, Air Force, DCSA, WHS HQ, National Guard Bureau, and the Intelligence Community.
Manage business development, capture, and proposal activities from start to finish:
Conduct opportunity and partner research.
Oversee opportunity identification, pursuit, and client relationships.
Translate technical concepts and strategies into white papers and market research.
Lead bid-related proposal activities, including writing and coordination with the proposal team.
Community Building:
Engage in targeted seminars, conferences, and forums to connect with key customers and partners.
Create and execute targeted client thought leadership campaigns and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
8-10+ years of experience in strategy, pipeline development, sales, front-end customer engagement, capture, and proposal development.
At least 5+ years of recent, relevant experience in federal contracting.
Established network of federal customer contacts.
Proven success in leading teams and securing new business opportunities.
Expertise in federal proposals, including complex RFQ/RFP compliance requirements.
Active participation in professional organizations such as ACT-IAC or AFCEA preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related discipline.
Preferred:
Ability to create and visualize critical content, including organizational charts and concept diagrams.
Experience in govcon digital transformation capability areas.
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
