Are you a Linux enthusiast with a knack for solving complex problems? Join our dynamic team as a Linux Systems Administrator! You'll be at the forefront of maintaining and securing our critical systems, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch security.
Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph Required
Ability to lift 30 pounds
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems
Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
Create/manage security groups
Coordinate hardware repair activities
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
Create/edit Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation
Desired Skills:
Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 6, 7, 8, & 9
Experience administering virtual machines with VMWare ESXi
Performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines
Proficiency in automation with shell and Ansible
Successfully install server and associated hardware
Successfully install/configure software applications and programs
Managing servers in a disconnected environment
Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management [i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS])
Proficiency managing and implementing backup and disaster recovery for Linux systems
Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Requirements
Experience managing Linux systems with NAS/SAN attached storage; ability to troubleshoot storage issues
Experience implementing and managing end user authentication for Linux systems in a mixed authentication environment: NIS & SSSD experience preferred
Previous experience with any of Solaris, AIX, POWER, SPARC
