Job Summary:
This role specializes in cyber security standards and coordination of system accreditation. Provide vulnerability analysis and reporting on accredited information systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- M onitoring systems, mitigating risks, managing and implementing security best practices.
- P rovide support to Sponsor's Information Technologies systems and provide operations and maintenance (O&M), system engineering and application development for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and newly developed or customized applications for Sponsor systems.
- P rovide support for system maintenance and troubleshooting for software and hardware components to maintain sustainability and reliability of the Sponsor's systems and applications and ensure that all development and modifications to existing Sponsor applications comply with Sponsor's security and architectural policies and regulations.
- D ocument all vulnerabilities, identify mitigations and proposed schedule to mitigating vulnerabilities .
- D evelop documentation that meets Sponsor Authorization and Accreditation requirements; and continuously evaluate program risks and recommend solutions to improve systems security.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer science or related field.
- E xperience and knowledge of Information Security (INFOSEC) policies.
- Experience understanding and evaluating security risks of systems and networks.
- E xperience working independently with little or no day-to-day direction, in a fast-paced environment.
- E xperience evaluating security risks of systems and networks.
- E xperience working a variety of tasks simultaneously, establishing priorities, and making sound and timely decisions.
- E xperience notifying customers, supervisors, and team members of relevant information and its impact on systems or programs.
- E xpertise in monitoring systems, mitigating risks, managing and implementing security best practices.
- Experience with architecture design, system and network analysis, vulnerability and risk assessments, and security assessment of hardware and software.
- Perform some manual data aggregation and normalization tasks until automated solutions are developed.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments and assessing systems within cloud environments focusing on security posture.
- Experience with continuous monitoring and plans of actions and milestones (POA&Ms).
- Understanding of NIST 800-53, 800-137 and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Demonstrated experience with cyber security concepts to include encryption services, access control, information protection, network security.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud security compliance

- Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
- Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.
