Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes test plans and system verification test documentation to prepare and sell off deliverable training systems at customer sites.
- Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots, and provides technical expertise during system research, product development, and customer training on system operation and maintenance.
- Participates in tactical planning, system design, and operation demonstrations by collaborating with industry partners and attending system demos.
- Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots hardware and supports the design and implementation of hardware infrastructure.
- Effectively contributes as a member of the engineering team by supporting design, materials, equipment setup/maintenance, and resolving related technical issues.
- Maintains hardware inventory, documents configuration changes, and supports power and cooling requirement analysis for server room sustainment.
Required Experience:
- Expert knowledge of the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
- Experience working with the SWFTS community
- Significant experience and understanding of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and computer hardware
- Builds effective internal/external working relationships
- Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment, and professionally executes projects with little direction
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrates problem solving skills when resolving process and technical issues
- Travel will be required
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Navy Submarine Design
- Experience with MPA, NECDIS, Strike, ISAT
- Experience with AN/BVY-1
- Experience with AN/BQQ-10
- Experience with AN/BLQ-10
- Basic Linux command line navigation skills
Education:
