How a Systems Architect will make an impact:
- Manage fact finding, analysis and development of final reports and delivery of presentations related to information technology.
- Responsible for designing, leading and managing the delivery of mission critical systems and software products.
- Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations to determine functional requirements
- Work closely with versatile systems and engineering specialists to prioritize customer requirements, define goals, and refine business objectives.
- Coordinates with Network, Security, and Program/Project Management to ensure team alignment on key initiatives and dependencies between groups.
- Brief and convey technical information to customer leadership and stakeholders.
- Interface directly with other system owners, customer leads, and end users to elicit new ideas and innovations that can be built into future systems deliveries.
- Develop and apply engineering and design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and applications and solutions.
- Senior level experience with design, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
- The individual should have a strong understanding of the critical role a Systems Architect plays in delivering value to end users
- Participates in special projects as required
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Required Education and Experience: BA/BS + 10 years
- Certifications: DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III certification is required prior to start date.
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph prior to starting
- Required Technical Skills: Evaluate information as it relates to requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation.
- Required Skills: Windows systems, Linux, RedHat 6.5, Oracle, SQL Server 2012, Microsoft IIS, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESX/Xen Hypervisors, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Database, and Data Management, Storage, Switching, Firewall, and Security Systems.
- Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
- Experience with SAN, NAS and iSCSI storage implementations
- Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
- Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
- Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
- Location: On Customer Site
