Key Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity support in line with DoD 8570.01-M and AFMAN 17-1303, including managing compliance with all Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) certifications and reporting.
- Appoint and oversee qualified personnel in cybersecurity roles, ensuring certifications are in place before contract work begins.
- Support and implement the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for securing IT systems.
- Develop and maintain a security plan covering various cybersecurity domains such as COMPUSEC, COMSEC, and OPSEC, ensuring all systems meet necessary security requirements.
- Serve as the designated Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to manage the organization's cybersecurity program.
- Collaborate with the ISSM and ISSO to assess and implement RMF controls, security audits, and scans to maintain security posture for assigned IT systems.
- DoD 8570.01-M certifications, including IAM and IAT certifications based on the assigned position.
- Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and securing IT systems, with a focus on achieving and maintaining ATO/ATC certification.
- Relevant IT or Cybersecurity degree or equivalent experience.
- DoD-approved cybersecurity certifications as per DoD 8570.01-M, specifically for roles involving software development, system administration, and cybersecurity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with government personnel and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and handle complex assignments.
- Knowledge of RMF processes, security controls, and certification activities.
- Familiarity with managing and securing both contractor-owned and government-owned information systems.
