System Administrator
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a system administrator with a solid background maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems to help us operate, maintain, and evolve infrastructure for a fast-paced organization.
As a system administrator on our team, you'll help ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest te chn ology and the best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 3+ years of experience employing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems
- Experience with relational database management systems such as SQL Server
- Experience with system and network administration tools and problem analysis te chn iques
- Experience installing and maintaining remote hardware and sof tware
- Knowledge of information system operations and peripheral equipment
- Knowledge of distributed interactive simulation ( DIS ) and High-Level Architecture ( HLA )
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- 5+ years of experience employing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems
- Experience configuring, modifying, and managing sof tware and hardware in accordance with cybersecurity requirements, including Security Te chn ical Implementation Guides ( STIGs )
- Experience with Citrix Workspace
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with system and network administration tools and problem analysis te chn iques
- Ability to gather requirements and transform the information into solutions that exceed customer expectations
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- IT Certifications
