Summary

The Security Escort Rover will support the Visitor Control Center and Security Operations Center (SOC) by providing roving security services Monday through Friday 2:00PM to 10:00PM.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and random patrols to include perimeter door checks. Routes shall be varied in order not to establish a pattern.
  • Conduct perimeter patrol by inspecting the entire perimeter fence at least monthly and submit workorders through FSMD's work control system to have the fence repaired (when necessary).
  • Provide traffic, parking, and pedestrian control services.
  • Enforce personnel identification procedures as prescribed by FSMD directives and policies. Security staff shall conduct verbal warnings, as required, to ensure employee conformance to proper display of badges.
  • Escorts shall carry a radio, which will be Government Furnished Equipment, always when not actively escorting in a secure space.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize and work on projects independently.
  • Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, such as the Microsoft Office suite (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
