Dorrean is seeking a talented and passionate Data Scientist to join our growing team in a contract role. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our data strategy, developing innovative solutions, and scaling existing applications to meet evolving needs. You will have the opportunity to dive deep into complex, unstructured data, uncover hidden insights, and contribute directly to the success of our mission.
What You Will Do:
• Uncover Hidden Insights: Explore complex, unstructured datasets to answer critical business questions, address client inquiries, and proactively identify emerging trends.
• Transform Data into Action: Translate data analysis into actionable insights, applying critical thinking and creative problem-solving to address complex challenges.
• Expand Data Capabilities: Develop and implement new data and product capabilities using Python, SQL, R, and other relevant technologies to advance our mission.
• Foster Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and engineers to deliver exceptional results.
• Champion Data-Driven Culture: Promote a data-driven culture within the team and across the organization.
What You Need to Be Successful:
• Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics, demonstrating a strong foundation in statistical modeling and data manipulation.
• Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance.
• Academic Background: MS or BS in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of Python, SQL, and R, with experience in Elasticsearch being a plus.
• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively with Senior Officials and subject matter experts to develop efficient and impactful solutions.
• Ownership and Prioritization: Proven ability to independently manage projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to Quality: A meticulous approach to data quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
