Summit Technologies, Inc. is in search of an experienced Information System Security Officer to support our Department of Defense client. As an ISSO you will support the platform operations for the Assessment & Authorization process. You must be a US citizen, as this is part of a government contract that requires a DoD Secret security clearance. You may be required to work at the onsite headquarters at Fort Meade, MD.
Role and Responsibilities:
Complete protective or corrective measures for cybersecurity incidents and any vulnerabilities discovered.
Confirm processes are in place for authorized users to report all cybersecurity-related events, potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure that DoD cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized individuals.
Support the Assessment & Authorization process, by developing and testing solutions in the prior to installing, configuring, and applying DISA STIGS in the production environment.
Generate Authority to Operate (ATO) status reports to document and communicate the interim status and completion of all tasks.
Complete all training required for system access. This currently includes Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) training.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science.
Certification:
An 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CNS, SSCP).
Security Clearance:
DoD Secret security clearance.
