Job Overview:
The Oracle Database Administrator will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This position requires a candidate with an active Secret security clearance, strong database administration skills, and experience in maintaining secure, high-performance Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, and MongoDB environments. The role involves optimizing, managing, and troubleshooting databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, and MongoDB databases.
• Provide expertise in Oracle WebLogic, including deployment, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure the performance, availability, and security of all database environments.
• Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of database systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance proactively.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to enhance database performance.
• Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align database systems with business and mission needs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior database administrators.

Basic Qualifications:
• Education & Experience:
o High School (or GED) + 16 years of experience
o Associate’s Degree + 14 years of experience
o Bachelor’s Degree + 12 years of experience
o Master’s Degree + 10 years of experience
• Minimum 9 years of experience as a Database Administrator, including Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, and MongoDB expertise.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) within 60 days of starting.
• Oracle, DB2, Cassandra, or MongoDB certification within 90 days of starting.

Desired Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with database security concepts and government standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
