Defense Operations Analyst
The Opportunity:
As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need a research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our nuclear deterrent systems studies and analysis team, you'll assist in the evaluation of data assessment strategies such as statistical analysis, concept evaluation, and methodology design to help develop analytic frameworks and deliver solutions.
You won't go at it alone-you'll work with a team of subject matter experts in defense and strategic deterrence to c ond uct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic or cost data such as lifecycle cost models and estimates, cost-benefit analysis, analytic models and simulations, and what-if analysis. Once documented, you'll help develop analytics reports, program briefs and presentations, and concept roadmaps to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency.
In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to help devise modeling and measuring te chn iques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics te chn iques such as game and probability theory, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
Use your operations research experience to develop te chn ologies and concepts that advance strategic deterrent capabilities and national security policy .

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- Experience with statistical models and independent analysis
- Knowledge of engineering principles and mathematical analytic frameworks
- Ability to independently operate within defined analytic methodologies
- TS / SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a Mathematics, Hard Sciences, or Engineering field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with the nuclear deterrent mission, strategy, and policy and US Air Force or Navy operations and systems
- Ability to operate independently on complex tasks without clear definition
- Master's degree in a Mathematics, Hard Sciences, or Engineering field
