What will you be doing?
Cloud Engineer / Architect in support of WWT’s contract responsibilities and customer requirements to deliver secure cloud solutions and services to the Intelligence Community and other Federal customers.
The cloud engineer will engineer, deliver, manage and maintain secure cloud capabilities and solutions including WWT or Government owned environments and infrastructure. They are also responsible for analyzing cloud architectures and recommend design changes for various cloud services and resources.

They are also responsible for analyzing cloud architectures and recommend design changes for various cloud services and resources.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Engineer, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
- Analyze cloud architectures and recommend secure design changes based on project objectives.
- Overlook workloads associated with cloud computing, monitor performance, and optimize cloud environments.
- Engineer, deploy, and manage cloud solutions for the organization.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cloud solutions, toolsets, and best practices.
- Develop scripts and workflows in favor of automated solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices for cloud security, optimization cost, and stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies.
- Design backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Generate white papers, design documents, best practice configurations, and test procedures.
- Execute testing to validate system performance IAW the developed test plan and criteria.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cloud toolsets and best practices.
- Assist the security IA team to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and provide audit results for security incidents.
Qualifications:
- Active TOP SECRET SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
- Applicants with Top Secret clearance are encouraged to apply.
- Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP or equivalent certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline or relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience in the information technology field to include cloud and Virtual Environments or 12+ years without a technical degree.
- 5+ Years of experience as a Linux Administration
- 5+ years of experience in container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- 5+ years of experience in automation technologies such as GitLab, Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
- Understand Public Key Infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare vSphere.
- Experienced with scripting languages and CLIs; PowerShell, bash, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of Local and Wide Area Networks.
- Experience preparing technical documentation.
- Experience with Google Cloud capabilities, including the Google Distributed Cloud.
- Experience with Microsoft Cloud capabilities, including Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Certified in Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
