Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking a Technical DevOps Task Manager who will manage a team made up of DevOps and Platform Engineers tasked to deliver the cloud-based Kubernetes platform-as-a-service capabilities to our customer. You will oversee the design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale distributed software applications using technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Keycloak, Postgres, MongoDB, Gitlab, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes while being able to contribute to code reviews and designs.
This person will work closely with product owners and managers to ensure that the team is delivering software that meets business and technical requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time. You will also track your team's risks/blockers, escalate those promptly, and actively work towards resolving to unblock your team. You will maintain your team's roadmap via Jira, scope out new work with your team, and inject emergent work when need. You will be expected to report and triage outages and build in processes to ensure ticket burndown and to prioritize root cause correct actions. This role can support a hybrid work schedule, with duties being performed 3 days per week onsite in the Chantilly, VA area.

Job Duties:
- Drive product delivery through keen understanding of the customer, mission, and product requirements
- Develop the team roadmap and support the team as needed to deliver on commitments
- Plan and prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs
- Proven ability to write technical tasks with business value for the customer
- Help define, document, and track the completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs Communicate with other Product owners and scrum masters, program leadership, customers, and development teams
- Support agile meetings such as daily scrum, retrospectives, and program increment planning
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Defines and manages the team roadmap
- Develops and proposes new ideas regarding technical solutions and processes
- Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Agile Development knowledge and experience
- Understanding of AWS/Azure/Cloud technologies (certification is a plus)
- Experience managing software, systems, or cloud engineering development
- Experience and understanding of DevSecOps Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail
- Capacity to work well in groups and the ability to lead a team
- Communicates regularly with key internal and external stakeholders often regarding critical/high priority issues
- Strong briefing skills and experience presenting to senior customer management
- Security+ Certification
Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):
- Proven experience managing multiple baselines across multiple environments
- Experience with collaboration tools including Jira/Confluence
