CSCI is a Woman-Owned Small Business seeking an experienced, intricately motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO) that will be responsible for administering, maintaining and enhancing the day-to-day security program of CSCI. The position will require daily interactions with both government and non-governmental clients. The Security Administrator must have knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), as well as federal and agency security regulations, such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) 32 CFR Part 117 and the Department of Defense (DoD) Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program.
The candidate must have a current Top Secret Clearance. This position is on-site Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA.
The minimum requirement for this position is 8 years of professional security experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment with a minimum of 3 years of Industrial Security experience. Responsibilities
The candidate's responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Perform the duties of the FSO.
- Administer, maintain, and enhance the day-to-day security program of CSCI.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security procedures of CSCI.
- Track and administer personnel security clearances in government databases ( e.g., DISS, NBIS, SWFT) and work with employees and candidates to obtain/maintain security clearances.
- Maintain government databases and systems ( e.g., DISS, NBIS, NISS).
- Draft, compile and maintain DD-254s.
- Assist with access control responsibilities ( e.g., badging).
- Maintain and enhance the integrity of personnel and procedures required to protect classified and sensitive information and materials.
- Leads and assists with preparation of and participates in facility reviews and inspections, including self-inspections.
- Provides and tracks security briefings, debriefings, and security training for personnel.
- Has a general understanding of the DoD CUI program.
- Ability to interpret and implement security policy, and provide guidance, oversight and assistance to company personnel.
- Perform administrative security support functions.
- Perform other security duties as assigned.
Skills - Minimum of 8 Years Experience
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required.
- AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business-related field is required.
- 8 years of related experience required in the DoD environments.
- 3 years industrial security experience.
- Familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) 32 CFR Part 117.
- Impeccable customer service skills.
- Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems.
- The employee must maintain clearance and eligibility throughout employment.
- The employee must be able to work on-site Monday-Friday in a professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and application of CUI program.
- B.A. or B.S. in a security or business-related field preferred.
Experience Levels:
