Valiant has an immediate need to fill the Industrial Security II/Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) position to work closely with security management and assign program staff on all aspects of the security program.
Tasks include but are not limited to interpreting and enforcing government and company security policies and providing direction and guidance to program personnel; interfacing with program managers and maintaining liaison with US Government Program Security Officers; performing and maintaining security functions and disciplines, Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and Army Centralized Contracts and Security Portal (ACCS) functions, to include personnel in/out processing. Coordination of initial and annual security briefings, foreign travel briefings, and other various mandated training. Serve as a principal SIMS database operator and responsible for incoming/outgoing visit certifications.
Personnel Security Assistant:
• Processes new employee security clearances and other required forms by the COMMAND/Agency to ensure access requirements are met (COMMAND/Agency specified form)
• Tracks and reviews security clearance investigations, including monitoring Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and other additional background screening packages.
• Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel. Processes outgoing visit requests and certifications.
Physical Security:
• Ensures document control security by safeguarding classified documents in accordance with the NISPOM-Rule. Support other company security disciplines as needed in connection with dedicated projects.
Additional Duties:
• Back-up to the FSO/Security Manager, and ability to train the team.
• Assist, recommend, develop, implement and monitor security policies and procedures.
• Assess, analyze, and address security risk. Manage and flow down of DD Form 254.
• Manage the facility access control, intrusion detection, safes/locks, hardware, and doors.
• Support multiple federal agencies utilizing the policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community and other applicable directives.
• Other duties as assigned

• Active in-scope Secret with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and completion of the FSO Certification – Possessing facility
• Associate degree with 3-5+ years’ experience in the security field.
• Working knowledge and experience with DISS, NISS, NBIS, ACCS, SIMS, SWFT
• Proficient in SharePoint is a plus

• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
