Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge network technologies while building expertise in storage and backup systems? We're looking for a Network Operations Specialist to join our IT Operations team as part of the IT Global Enterprise Management Services (IT GEMS) program. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and securing a high-performing IT infrastructure that supports critical operations.

As a member of this team, we're looking for you to contribute to:

Network Management:

•Monitor, administer, securely install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

•Work with tools and systems such as Palo Alto Firewalls, SolarWinds, F5, AnyConnect, ClearPass, DNS appliances, and wireless infrastructure.

•Ensure network performance and security by implementing effective measures, troubleshooting issues, and replacing hardware as needed.

•Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups.

•Operate master consoles to monitor network and system performance.

•Provide full lifecycle support for enterprise network assets.
Storage and Backup (Preferred):

•Design, configure, and manage storage and backup systems.

•Conduct routine checks for storage errors, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues across Linux, Windows, and VMware systems.

•Support disaster recovery requirements, deploy backup agents, and maintain reliable backup infrastructure.

•Collaborate with technical teams to optimize performance and resolve issues.

Skills & Experience:

•Current DoD Secret Clearance

•5 years IT related experience

•Practical experience managing firewalls and network equipment in a multi-vendor environment.

•Familiarity with enterprise-level storage solutions, such as NetApp and Hitachi (preferred).
Experience with:

•Backup tools like Commvault

•Operating Systems: Windows (2016-2022), RHEL (6-9)

•Databases: Oracle, SQL

•Cloud platforms: AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

•IT Service Management tools: ServiceNow

•Understanding of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certifications:

•Security+ certification and 8570 compliance (e.g., CCNA).
Preferred but not required:

•Associate degree or equivalent experience.

•Storage and backup experience is a plus but not essential-we welcome those eager to learn new technologies!
Other Requirements:

•Must work on-site in Whitehall, OH, and support an on-call rotation, including occasional weekend support.
