CYBERSECURITY ARCHITECT
Take the lead in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge security systems and architectures that protect critical information assets. As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will drive innovative solutions, lead cross-functional teams, and address complex cybersecurity challenges to meet organizational goals.
THE JOB
Develop comprehensive security architectures aligned with industry standards and regulations.
Provide detailed security design specifications and architectural diagrams.
Identify and mitigate architectural weaknesses proactively.
Oversee security system integration within existing IT infrastructures.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to deploy secure solutions.
Validate and optimize the effectiveness of security controls.
Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend optimal solutions.
Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations to vet new technologies.
Provide guidance for system improvements and optimizations.
Act as a mentor and technical consultant for team members.
Provide subject-matter expertise during incident response and troubleshooting.
Deliver innovative solutions for complex security challenges.
Ensure security designs comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
Participate in audits, assessments, and remediation planning.
Maintain thorough documentation of security systems and processes.
Liaise with technical teams, senior management, and stakeholders to align security objectives.
Communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Drive initiatives embedding security into organizational processes.
Anticipate future cybersecurity challenges and implement forward-thinking solutions.
Develop new security methodologies and practices.
Champion strategic projects aligning with organizational vision.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8-10 years in cybersecurity, focusing on security architecture.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level security systems.
Experience with diverse security technologies, including network, cloud, and application security.
Advanced knowledge of security frameworks and principles.
Proficiency in technologies like firewalls, encryption protocols, IAM solutions, and SIEM platforms.
Expertise in designing scalable, resilient security solutions.
CISSP, CISM, or similar relevant DoD 8570 certification is required.
