Job Description:

To drive the design and development of innovative solutions for customer-driven challenges involving ruggedized miniature electro-mechanical systems, systems for harsh environments (e.g., high-g, high-temperature, high-vibration), robotics, and autonomous systems. This role contributes to developing cutting-edge technologies for missions critical to national interests.

Duties/Responsibilities

* Execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the performance, functionality, and durability of hardware products.
* Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware products to ensure compliance with specifications, requirements, and quality standards.
* Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware defects; implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
* Contribute to requirements development, propose solutions, and adapt to changing requirements.
* Perform analytical modeling and finite element analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems.
* Provide insights and suggest design modifications based on analysis outcomes, applying techniques across various technical disciplines.
* Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop/execute mitigation strategies.
* Mentor less experienced engineers, offering thoughtful and constructive feedback.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education

* Required: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Preferred: Master's degree.

Experience

* 5-7 years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree.
* 3-5 years of engineering experience with a master's degree.

Additional Requirements

* Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance (proof of US citizenship required).
