The Prospective Group (TPG) is searching for a Human Resources (HR) Director to serve as a core member of the corporate team. The HR Director is expected to be a dynamic, organized self-starter to manage our HR services at our Falls Church office. The HR Director has both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources with our growing employee base. This role provides critical internal customer support to our 250+ employees/consultants and drives HR functional excellence while maintaining compliance with labor laws. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communications skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage HR functions for TPG including policies and procedures, compliance, employee on-boarding and off-boarding, performance management, training, compensation, benefits, and employee records.
Maintain knowledge of and manage administration of TPG benefits programs to include healthcare, 401K, profit sharing, paid time off, etc.
Oversee employee relations, ensure practices are compliant with regulations.
Work with all levels of the business, including front-line employees, supervisors, mid-level managers, directors, and VPs.
Manage recruitment activities such as job posting, application processing, interview scheduling, and document preparation.
Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies.
Supervise recruiting team, the hiring process, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Oversee compensation evaluations, benefit audits, and recruitment planning and assist management in planning, developing, and implementing HR activities.
Analyze HR data to understand trends in hiring, resignations, promotions, and compensation to recommend changes and enhancements to leadership.
Advise and direct on matters related to compliance, mandatory reporting, and employment law.
Manage HR mandatory contractor training, and elective training/continuing education programs.
Work with managers and employees to address various employee relations issues. Provide employee relations support for conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling.
Responsible for TPG’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) talent strategy.
Contribute to company culture of inclusiveness, with equitable access to opportunities and career growth.
Draft and distribute monthly company newsletter.
Monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Maintain the TPG employee handbook.
Manage employee communications.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, minimum of 8 years of human resource management experience with strategic, talent management, compensation, and benefits responsibility required.
Minimum of 3 years of management and supervisory experience in a company of 100+ employees.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with human resources requirements for government contracting.
Solid understanding of HR principles, labor laws and regulations.
Able to deal effectively with strategic issues as well as tactical operational details.
The ability to calmly manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results.
Strong experience with managing benefits programs.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
