Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a qualified Web Developer for a potential opportunity with the Department of State (DOS). The Web Developer will oversee all activities conducted under the contract, acting as the SME and Task Leader for Application and Web Development, while supporting all NIS staff involved in that task area.
The Senior Web Developer will work directly with the PM and directly support the transition-in and transition-out phases. Availability during standard business hours is expected.
Candidates must have a minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in managing programs and projects, along with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:
- Create and plan - Write effective code to create a website using standard HTML/CSS practices. Plan and deliver web applications across multiple platforms. Implement contingency plans in case the site goes down. Create quality assurance tests to ensure website success. Use tools that monitor the ongoing performance of the company website.
- Collaborate - Team up with the development team to develop and maintain the website. Keep in constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content. Update policies to maintain requirements.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) during the life of this contract.
- 10 years plus of relevant industry experience.
- 10 years equivalent PTL experience
- Associate degree is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred
- Five years of experience working in a similar position is preferred
- Experience working with HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP and Java
- A solid comprehension of Computer Science with coding experience
- Strong communication skills, team player, and strong attention to detail
- Two years of Consular Affairs experience
- Technical Writing experience
