Nationwide IT Services is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer supporting a potential Department of State Opportunity. The successful candidate must have experience in migration to the cloud and cloud architecture.

Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Manages and configures network hardware, software, operating systems, and attached devices. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation.
  • Designs, installs, maintains, and supports LAN, WAN, video, and VoIP infrastructures. Troubleshoot technical issues and develop and implement solutions.
  • Designs, configures, and manages network security features for custom networks.
  • Performs preventive and fault isolation maintenance on existing networks.
  • Creates and maintains as-built and other systems drawings (flowcharts, diagrams).
  • Supports operational and maintenance phases for as-built systems.
  • Supports data center operations.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based systems and applications
  • Evaluating and determining the best cloud options for the engineering and development teams Migrating existing on-premises systems and applications to the cloud Debugging and troubleshooting cloud issues and ensuring security and efficiency.
  • Interacting with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide cloud support and recommendations.
  • Design, implementation, and support of network infrastructures.
  • Engineering of multiprotocol routers/switches, network security devices and firewalls, and network management systems
  • Provisioning and troubleshooting circuits.
  • Security and VPN solutions Application delivery controllers Link aggregation, spanning tree, span/rspan, and tracing network issues.
  • Enterprise applications including MS Remote Desktop and Visio Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls - installation, configuration, and maintenance
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in network/systems analysis, design, installation, and maintenance.
  • 7+ years of experience with routing and switching technologies. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
Professional Certifications:
  • CISSP (preferred) OR CISM OR CASP+
  • PMP
Recommended experience with the following:
  • Language(s): C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XML
  • Framework(s): ASP.NET, .Net 4, WCF, Entity, Design Patterns, ERD
  • Front-end Development: ASP.NET, Bootstrap, AngularJS, MVC, AJAX, Web Services, Kendo
  • Database(s): Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, SQLPlus, Toad, SQL Server
  • Platform/Tools: Visual Studio, TFS, IIS, Windows Server, HTTPS, CLM, GitLab, Selenium, Jenkins
  • Experience with build scripts and continuous integration, using any of the following:
  • Gitlab, CLM, Jira, Nexus, Docker, Puppet, Jenkins, Gitlab-ci, Beaker, OATS/Selenium, Confluence, Maven, SonarQube, Team Foundation Server (TFS)
