DevSecOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in support of the DMDC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices with a focus on security (DevSecOps) and extensive experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, GitLab, Jenkins, Nessus, Ansible, and various scripting languages. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our development and deployment processes.

DevSecOps Implementation:

• Integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline to ensure secure software delivery.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Automate security testing and vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus.

Containerization and Orchestration:

• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes and Rancher.
• Ensure the security and compliance of containerized environments.

Configuration Management and Automation:

• Use Ansible for configuration management and automation of infrastructure tasks.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts.

Scripting and Automation:

• Write and maintain scripts in various scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Develop custom scripts to integrate various tools and processes.

Application Deployment and Troubleshooting:

• Deploy applications and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
• Work closely with development teams to resolve deployment-related issues.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
