Responsibilities
As a Linux Systems Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based environments, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and security. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and monitoring Linux servers, automating routine tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with development teams to implement and streamline CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Linux system administration, scripting, and networking concepts, coupled with a proactive mindset and a passion for learning. A TS/SCI security clearance is preferred but not required at the time of application; however, eligibility is essential.

Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with no less than two (2) total years of experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment with at least one year of that in the last 5 years
- Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Rocky/RHEL Linux and Debian).
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, firewalls).
- Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
- Understanding of server monitoring tools and practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage repositories, implement CI/CD pipelines, and streamline deployment processes using GitLab.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., Proxmox and/or VMware).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Terraform.
- Experience with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer
Engineering - Have or can obtain one of the following certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+ or RHCSA) within 6 months of being hired.
- Have or can obtain Security+ within 1 Year of being hired.
Clearance Requirements:
