Description:The Lockheed Martin Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) within the Corporate Engineering, Chief Technology Office (CTO), is seeking a visionary leader to drive the development and application of cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. This executive role will play a critical part in advancing Lockheed Martin's AI strategy, supporting key enterprise objectives, and contributing to the 21st Century Warfare initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Functionally, lead the Applied AI Technical Integrity Team, ensuring the development of novel AI/ML technologies that meet the highest standards of innovation and excellence
• Oversee cross-enterprise IRAD (Independent Research and Development) projects, fostering collaboration and driving the creation of groundbreaking AI techniques
• Coordinating novel capabilities across the AI/ML technology domain within the 21st Century Warfare and 1LMX enterprise initiatives
• Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline in partnership with Lockheed Martin's business areas, accelerating the transition of AI technologies from research to application

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
-15 years total experience with Aerospace and Defense
-Experience in Engineering and Program Management
-Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills; experience interfacing with company executives, customers and external agencies and partners
-Proven ability to work cross-BA and cross-function, specifically within supporting organizations such as Engineering and Technology
-Demonstrated technical and people leadership experience including leading diverse and dynamic multi-discipline engineering teams
-Experience translating business strategy into value creation through data and AI
-Ability to define and adopt agile management practices
-Experience translating technology roadmaps and strategy to operational improvement
-Proven experience leading virtual teams
Desired Skills:
- Experience in leading programs across multiple LM Business Areas
-Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills
-Demonstrated ability to create a vision, build a team, and execute on that vision to create business value
-Demonstrated knowledge of AI technology fundamentals and evolving industry trends
-Demonstrated track record of prototype development and ability to showcase the technology to customers
-Travel expected to be approximately 50%

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $300,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
