Position Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, assisting the various shipboard trades, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode. A Shipboard General Labor preforms multi tasks including fire watch, driver and cable pulling.
- May perform simple repairs on machinery.
- Transports materials, tools, and equipment to and within work sites as required.
Position Requirements:
- US Citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Base Access.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of marine/maritime related experience.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
- Ability to work aboard ships which includes frequent climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Must have a Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment.
