Job Description :
As the Systems Integration and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for installing new releases of the SONIC Strike NCL Baseline, testing new and regression functionality of the NCL baseline; debug and trouble shoot software and system level problem; working with other members of the integration team to provide assistance to both the Test Partition test events, such as IT, and IV&V, and to also provide factory support to the O&S engineers when there are issues on the production level systems to ensure minimized down time; implementing baseline changes and responding to change request; performing technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported functionalities. You should be familiar with scripting languages such as Python and Perl to create and update automated test scripts.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
•Candidate must have a Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI security clearance
•Typically, a bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related technical degree
•Proficiency with one or more of the following:
•C++, Python, Java
•Java Spring Boot
•Experience developing successful object-oriented systems with a focus on maintainability and testability, and deep understanding of issues surrounding layering and dependencies in object oriented systems
•Understanding and skills in software design and code, including Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
•Experience with version control systems, such as Git
•Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems, such as JIRA
•Experience with UNIX and/or Linux
•Self-starter with ability to multitask
•Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
•Strong oral and written communications skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
•Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 5 year(s)
•In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
•Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts and/or Docker or Podman Containers.
•Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
•Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
•Ability to use verbal and written communication skills to present information to a diverse population (technical and non-technical).
•Ability to work well as a member of a team and independently.
•Knowledge of existing virtual machine and cloud technologies including principles and methods of scalability to match workloads.
•Knowledge of multiple specialties such as operating systems, database platforms, storage technologies, including knowledge of administering operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Server.
•Demonstrated experience working on remote Systems via use of command line.
•Hands on experience integrating Linux servers in Active Directory (or using LDAP/Kerberos)
•Experience installing and configuring basic services including httpd/Apache, vftpd and sshd.
•Strong problem solving and communication skills.
•Ability to arrange things or actions in an order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of dependencies.
•Experience with operating system update services such as WSUS, YUM or DNF.
•Knowledge of the following technologies: Ansible modules, PowerShell scripting, ELK Stack and Trellix Anti-Virus and integrating Linux with Windows Active Directory
•Experience with centralized authentication technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory domains in supporting (Windows/Linux) cross-platform clients is desirable.
•You should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams.
•Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and learn new technologies quickly are some of the qualities a successful candidate will have.
•Willingness to learn Windows Systems Administration on a cross-function Agile Team.
•Ability to provide innovative solutions for routine issues and tasks.
•Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
•Knowledge of theory and practice underlying satellite and LAN/WAN network operations.
•Experience automating NCL Library install processes
•Scripting experience using Perl, Python or similar advanced scripting languages
•Willingness to learn and implement Scrum framework, Lean principles, Agile engineering and DevOps.
Security Clearance :
•Must currently possess Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance and must be able to obtain a Poly.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120k - $185k
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
