Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton seeks a Platform Integration Engineer/Technical Writer to support Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) perform research, review specifications, and consult with technical experts in the preparation, amendment, change, or revision of technical documents. Location: Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Tasks include:
  • Plan, draft, edit, and prepare a variety of technical publications in support of TWC and
    ArCTIC mission requirements such as Standard Operating Procedures and Policies,
    Requirements, Testing Plans, Technical Transition Plans, and Technical Statements of
    Work, Statements of Objectives, or Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans
  • Research, collect and organize information and prepare, in clear and concise language,
    technical documents such as functional descriptions, procedure manuals, service
    manuals, special reports, training materials, installation guides, system specifications,
    brochures, and related technical publications concerned with the design, test,
    production, installation, operation, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Create business documents and processes which appropriately capture the
    organization's intent for a targeted audience
  • Develop technical documentation formats and assure conformance to military standards
    and customer specifications while writing for both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Review material for proper grammatical usage, punctuation, format, spelling, style, order of presentation, clarity of meaning, consistency and compliance with organizational standards and requirements, to include Army Regulation 25-50
  • Maintain documents in approved repository that tracks revisions, dated milestones,
    letters of instruction, format, page counts, number of drawings and numeric designation, writer, etc
  • Utilize state-of-the-art desktop publishing software and other software/hardware to
    prepare technical documents
  • Check references to other publications for accuracy of titles, numbers, dates, and
    applicability of subject matter
  • Provide training and technical assistance to other team members in area of expertise.
  • Develop process maps for the ARCYBER Enterprise, as required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 8 years with Ph.D.
  • Extensive experience using Visio, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
  • 8+ years of experience in a technical field working with hardware, software, and networks
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in technical writing and document editing in the technical field, such as engineering or computer and information technology
  • Knowledgeable of Army Regulation 25-50
  • Able to fully leverage SharePoint and organize document repositories
  • Active TS SCI w/poly or the ability to obtain Polygraph and MEAD.
  • U.S Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Gabriel Nimbus (GN) or Cyber related
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Information Systems, or related field
  • TS SCI w/poly

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
