Data Scientist, Senior

Key Role:

Explores and operationalizes data sources using scientific processes and te chn ologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights. Applies specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, and reviews or guides activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data science
• Experience with DoD contracts, translating client requirements into final deliverables, and leading small group projects
• Experience with using Python and Micro sof t Office tools
• Knowledge of scientific or engineering methods, and te chn iques for the production of integrated, all-source scientific and te chn ical intelligence assessments of foreign defense capabilities
• Ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
• Ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information and interpret analysis, including its meaning, importance, and implications
• Ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgements when presented with new information, evolving c ond itions, or unexpected developments
• Ability to produce timely and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Micro sof t Office tools, electronic or sof t copy matrices, or web-enabled formats
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with AnyLogic and Tableau sof tware suites
• Ability to use innovative tools and te chn iques, coupled with all-source analysis to identify, define and assess foreign adversary capabilities and vulnerabilities
• Possession of excellent grammar skills
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to communicate information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, or te chn ically advanced in a concise and organized manner
• Master's degree in a Scientific field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
