The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a cloud software engineer to provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution. You will be part of a team of development and operations engineers building and deploying robust next-generation systems that are exceptionally reliable, rapidly upgradeable, and scalable to support tens of thousands of concurrent users. You will architect and engineer DevOps pipelines using the latest toolchains and technologies.

You will be part of an overall effort to provide life cycle services that include systems engineering, integration, software development, testing, configuration management and training development in the following functional areas: Analytics, Knowledge Management, Information Sharing & Malware Analysis. Be part of a department with an expanding range of programs focusing on Cyber Mission Operations, where you get to grow on and between programs with peers who are dedicated to advancing national security. Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, integrate and test new features and capabilities for cloud native service offerings. These systems must be able to run in a hybrid cloud model using containerization, container orchestration, and function based (such as server-less) technologies.
  • Understands the basics of versioning tools such as but not limited to Git.

  • Conduct containerization and container deployment training sessions, which include hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.
  • Develop web-based user interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data and develop web services that provide REST-based APIs.
  • Work with pub/sub technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ) within container orchestration and other similar cloud vendor environments.
  • Work with automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Bash, or Go) within container orchestration or other similar cloud vendor environments.
  • Work with metrics and monitoring technologies (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) within container orchestration or other similar cloud vendor environments.
  • Work with logging and monitoring technologies (e.g., Fluentd, ElasticSearch, Kibana) within container orchestration or other similar cloud vendor environments.
  • Work with cloud package managed systems (e.g., yum repos, helm repos, binary repos) within orchestration or other similar environments.
  • Work with multiple cloud vendors as well as private cloud industry solutions (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).

Qualifications:

Required:
  • An active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Four (4) years' experience software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required; two (2) years of which must be in programs utilizing Big-Data Cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Cloudera Certified Hadoop Develop


This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$72,200 - $147,900
